A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FROM
ELECTRONIC ACCESS SYSTEMS, INC. D/B/A SOUTHERN LOCK AND
SUPPLY CO., HOLB SIERRA CORPORATION AND SECURITY LOCK
SYSTEMS OF TAMPA, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF SIX ELECTRONIC LOCKS FOR THE FIRE RESCUE SIDE OF THE
PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended acceptance- of a proposal from Electronic Access
Systems, Inc., d/b/a Southern Lock and Supply Co., Holb Sierra Corporation and Security Lock
Systems of Tampa, Inc. for the purchase and installation of six additional electronic locks for the
Fire Rescue side of the Public Safety Building utilizing pricing established in an existing Contract
with the School District of Palm Beach County (Term Contract No. 14C -33W — Card Access
Equipment, Installation and Services); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including a waiver
of the Village's purchasing policies and procedures due to the age of the School District Contract,
is in the best interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves and accepts the proposal from Electronic
Access Systems, Inc., d/b/a Southern Lock and Supply Co., Holb Sierra Corporation and Security
Lock Systems of Tampa, Inc. for the purchase and installation of six additional electronic locks for
the Fire Rescue side of the Public Safety Building utilizing pricing established in an existing
Contract with the School District of Palm Beach County (Term Contract No. 14C -33W — Card
Access Equipment, Installation and Services) at a total cost of $19,263.00, with funds expended
from Account No. A5510-34620 (Public Safety — R&M Building and Grounds).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
