RESOLUTION 2018-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FROM
FLORIDA DOOR CONTROL FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION
OF A NEW AUTOMATIC GATE AT THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended acceptance of a proposal from Florida Door Control of
Orlando, Inc. for the purchase and installation of a new automatic gate at the Public Works
Facility utilizing pricing established in an existing GSA Contract (Contract No. GS -07F -0599X —
Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including a
waiver of the Village's purchasing policies and procedures due to the age of the GSA Contract
and the inclusion of open market parts, is in the best interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves and accepts the proposal from Florida
Door Control of Orlando, Inc. for the purchase and installation of a new automatic gate at the
Public Works Facility utilizing pricing established in an existing GSA Contract (Contract No.
GS -07F -0599X — Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire,
Rescue) at a total cost of $18,233.70, with funds expended from Account No. A5519-34620
(Facility Services — R&M Building & Grounds).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
