A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2018 UNMARKED FORD TAURUS SEDAN FROM GARBER FORD INC.
PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING STATE TERM CONTRACT FOR MOTOR
VEHICLES AND THE PURCHASE OF THE POLICE LIGHTING PACKAGE
FROM DANA SAFETY SUPPLY PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT
WITH THE CITY OF TAMPA; DECLARING ONE VEHICLE AS SURPLUS
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended the purchase of one 2018 unmarked Ford Taurus sedan
from Garber Ford Inc. pursuant to State Term Contract No. 25100000-18-1 (Motor Vehicles)
Sub -Group D (Police/Special Service Vehicles) and the purchase of the police lighting package
from Dana Safety Supply pursuant to an existing City of Tampa Contract, Spec No. 2-18
(Lightbars and Accessories with installation); and
WHEREAS, Village Staff further recommended the surplus of one unmarked police vehicle that
had been damaged in an accident and declared a total loss by the Village's insurer; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2018 unmarked Ford
Taurus sedan from Garber Ford Inc. pursuant to State Term Contract No. 25100000-18-1 (Motor
Vehicles) Sub -Group D (Police/Special Service Vehicles) and the purchase of the police lighting
package from Dana Safety Supply pursuant to an existing City of Tampa Contract, Spec No. 2-18
(Lightbars and Accessories with installation). The total amount expended for this vehicle shall not
exceed $24,856.00, with funds expended from Account No. A5711-66410 (Police — Automotive).
Section 3. The Village Council declares the following vehicle as surplus property and
authorizes its disposal in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
