A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
' URGING AND REQUESTING THE OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF
FLORIDA, TO ACQUIRE_AN AREA IN RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA, (SINGER ISLAND)_MORE FULLY
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER, TO BE DEVELOPED AND USED AS A STATE PARK: AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, numerous citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida.,
have requested the Village to promote the a.equisition of that certain area.for use
a.s a. public State Park more fully described a.s follows:
AS TO OCEAN FRONTAGE: North 2004.6 feet of South
2573.6 feet of Government Lot 1, lying East of
Highway A-1-A, Section 15, Township 42, Range 43.
• AS TO LAKE FRONTAGE: North 2004.6 feet of South
2573.6 feet of Government Lot 1, lying West of Highway
A-1-A and tract of submerged land in Official Record
Book $7, page 330, Section 15, Township 42, Range 43.
and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach recog-
nizes that ocean front lands are continuously appreciating in value, and a.t the same
time access to the Atlantic Ocean in our State is diminishing: and
WHEREAS, public beach, bathing and Park recreation a.rea.s service and
benefit the entire state, including both residential a.nd tourists, this program
' is deemed to be in the best interests of all of our citizenry in the State of Florida.:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE_AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Outdoor Recreational Development Council of the State
of Florida, is respectfully urged and requested to acquire the
above described area. to be developed into a. State Park for
the citizenry of the State of Florida..
SECTION 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of North Palm Beach is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish a._certified copy of this Resolution
to the Honorable Cia.ude R. Kirk, Governor, Tallahassee, Florida.,
to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida.,
Palm Beach County Courthouse, West Palm Beach, Florida., 33402, and
to the Outdoor Recreational Planning Committee and the Land Management
Division of the Outdoor Recreational Development Council, 803 South_
Adams Street, Tallahassee, Florida. 32304.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its pa.ssa.ge.

A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
' APPOINTING LAWRENCE J. ROBBINS AS VILLAGE MANAGER OF SAII3 VILLAGE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
'
Section 1. Tha t LAWRENCE J. ROBBINS be, and he is hereby, appointed
and designated as Vi1la,ge Manager in and for the Vi1la.ge of North Palm Beach,
Florida., and he is hereby vested with a.ll the powers and duties of said office.
Section 2. As and for compensation for the services of the said LAWRENCE
J. ROBBINS, he is to be paid the sum of NINE THOUSAND ($9,000.00) DOLLARS annually,
to be paid in equal monthly installments. The said Village Ma.na.ger shall also be
paid the sum of $25.00 per month a.s reimbursement for the expenses incurred by
him in operating his automobile. This sum shall be paid in equal monthly in-
stallments of $25.00.
Section 3. This appointment shall become effective July 17, 1967, ar~d
shall continue thereafter a.t the pleasure of the Village Council.
