A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
COUNTY OF PALM PEACH TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALKS ALONGSIDE THE BRIDGE OVER THE EARMAN RIVER ON
PROSPERITY FARMS ROAD.
WI~REAS, there are presently no sidewalks alongside the bridge over the Earman River
on Prosperity Farms Road; and
Y7HEREA5, said Prosperity Farms Road is a Palm Beach County maintained road; and
WI~REAS, there is a substantial amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic across
this bridge which is extremely dangerous to all travelers, and especially to young school
children who use this; and
WfE:REAS, the volume of traffic there has increased substantially in the immediate
• past and continues to increase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA that:
Section 1. THE PALM BEACH COUNTY COMMISSION is hereby requested to take all necessary
steps to provide sidewalks or other means of pedestrian travel alongside the bridge over the
Earman River on Prosperity Farms Road as soon as it may reasonably be done.
Section 2, THE VILLAGE MANAGER is hereby directed to Forward true copies of this
resolution to the Palm Beach County Commission and to Commissioner E. F, Van Ressel.
