1964-207 Alamanda Driva as an Access Route to the New Alamanda School• RESOLUTION N0, 207 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ADVISING THE PALM BEACH COUNTY COMMISSION OF THE POSITION OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH REGARDING THE USE OF ALAMANDA DRIVE AS AN ACCESS ROUTE TO THE NEW ALAMANDA SCHOOL. ~ ~ ~ ~: ~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: That the Palm Beach County Commission is hereby advised of the position of the Village o£ North Palm Beach regarding the access route to the new Alamanda School and the opening of • Alamanda Drive as follows: a, That there shall be installed a bicycle path located northward from the Village limit at Alamanda Drive to the new school. b. That after the above path is installed, or at the same time, the Village will approve a road paralleling this same path and that the Village will take down the barricade at our North boundary allowing Alamanda to become a through street. c. That the County will provide bridging for the above two items across the drainage canal running along the north boundary in the Plat #4 Crown Estates area. d. That the above shall be installed at na cost to the Village and that the bicycle path at least shall be installed before the opening date of school. e. That the Village approves the "soft S curve" alignment of Alamanda Drive and rejects the other sharply curved alignment which included two 90 degree curves. £. That the Village shall receive from the County a written committment that in the near future and within a reas onable time the County will install • a bicycle path running wesi;ward from Prosperity Farms Road to the new school from either Teal Way or Pelican Way so that the children in that area may walk or ride to school witktout being subjected to the danger of traveling along Prosperity Farms Road. That a copy of this resolution shall be furnished to the Palm Beach County Commission and its Chairman E. F, Van Kessel, PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 25th day of AuEUSt, 1964. Mayor (SEAL) • ATTEST:
