A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF TWO SPLIT HVAC SYSTEMS AND THE REMOVAL
OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT AT THE ANCHORAGE PARK ACTIVITIES
BUILDING FROM THERMO AIR, INC.; WAIVING THE COMPETITIVE
BIDDING REQUIREMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, one of the HVAC Systems at the Anchorage Park Activities Building is no longer
functioning and the other will soon fail; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the purchase and installation of two 10 -ton
Split HVAC Systems and the removal of existing equipment from Thermo Air, Inc. at a total cost
of $37,480.00 based on the receipt of three written quotes; and
WHEREAS, due the exigent circumstances, the Village Council wish to approve the purchase
and waive the competitive bidding requirement for purchases over $25,000.00, as set forth in the
Village's purchasing policies and procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase and installation of two 10 -ton
Split HVAC Systems and the removal of existing equipment at the Anchorage Park Activities
Building from Thermo Air, Inc. at a total cost of $37,480.00, with funds expended from Account
No. A5519-34620 (Facilities Services — R & M Buildings and Grounds). The Village Council
waives all conflicting purchasing policies and procedures and authorizes the Village Manager to
take all actions necessary to effectuate the purchase.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
