A RESOLUTION BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE UNITED STATES POST
OFFICE DEPARTMENT TO ES"T"ABLISH A BRANCH POST OFFICE FP.CSI.ITY
IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH.
WHEREAS, the Village o£ North Palm Beach, Florida, and
its immediate vicinity, has experienced the greatest growth of
any municipality in the Palm Beach County area in the last few
years; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Pa1.m Beach is a model
community of which many other communities have been patterned
after and that it has received many awards 1s a model community;
WHEREAS, there is no branch Post Office facility in the
area to service the needs of its more than 3000 residents; and
WHEREAS, the continued growth in the area and the in-
crease of business firms locating within the Village emphasize
the need: and
WHEREAS, the establishment of a Post Office branch faci=
lity within the Village is necessary to servi ce the needs of
its citizens and business firms;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
Village of North Palm Beach do hereby request the United States
Post Office Department to establish a branch postal facility
in the Village of North Palm Beach in order to better service
this area and provide badly needed facilities for the citizens and
business firms located in the area.
