AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ADOPTED
GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 TO PROVIDE
FUNDS FOR THE ANCHORAGE PARK FLOATING DOCKS PROJECT;
TRANSFERRING $252,000 IN DEVELOPER FEES FROM THE GENERAL
FUND TO CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND; AMENDING THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND TO TRANSFER THE DEVELOPER FEE FUNDS AND AN
ADDITIONAL $45,500 FROM THE POOL — CONSTRUCTION AND MAJOR
RENOVATION CAPITAL ACCOUNT TO THE RECREATION — CONSTRUCTION
AND MAJOR RENOVATION CAPITAL ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council may utilize developer fees collected pursuant to Section 36-23
of the Village Code of Ordinances for parks and recreational purposes or the construction or
expansion of public facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to transfer $252,000.00 in accumulated recreation
developer fees to the Capital Project Fund to finance the Anchorage Park floating docks project
("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council further wishes to amend the Capital Projects Fund to transfer
the recreation developer fees and an additional $45,500.00 currently in the Pool — Construction
and Major Renovation Capital Account to the Recreation — Construction and Major Renovation
Capital Account (for a total transfer of $297,500.00) to fund the Project; and
WHEREAS, because this amendment increases the total amount of the budget, this transfer must
be accomplished by ordinance as required by Section 166.241, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this budget amendment is in the
best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified as true and correct and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends the adopted Village of North Palm Beach
I General Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 as follows:

Section 3. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 4. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
