A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2018 UNMARKED FORD TAURUS POLICE VEHICLE, TWO 2017 FORD
POLICE INTERCEPTOR SEDANS, ONE 2017 FORD F-250 POLICE VEHICLE,
AND ONE 2017 FORD F-150 POLICE VEHICLE FROM GARBER FORD
PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING STATE TERM CONTRACT FOR MOTOR
VEHICLES AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2017 CHEVROLET
TAHOE FOR USE BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM STINGRAY
CHEVROLET PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING FLORIDA SHERIFF'S
ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FOR POLICE RATED, ADMINISTRATIVE,
UTILITY VEHICLES, TRUCKS AND VANS; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $206,339.00 FROM
THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE -AUTOMOTIVE
AND FIRE RESCUE -AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNTS; DECLARING
SPECIFIED VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting the purchase of four vehicles and the
Fire Rescue Department is requesting the purchase of one vehicle as listed on the five-year
Capital Improvement Plan ("CIP") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one 2018 unmarked Ford Taurus,
two 2017 Ford Police Interceptor sedans, one 2017 Ford F-250 police vehicle and one 2017 Ford
F-150 police vehicle, each equipped to Village specifications, from Garber Ford pursuant to
State Term Contract No. 25100000-16-1 ("Motor Vehicles") and the purchase of one 2017
Chevrolet Tahoe for use by the Fire Rescue Department, equipped to Village specifications, from
Stingray Chevrolet pursuant to Florida Sheriff's Association Contract No. FSA16-VEL24.0
("Police Rated, Administrative, Utility Vehicles, Trucks & Vans"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $206,339.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police Automotive and Fire Rescue
Automotive Capital Accounts to fund the purchase of the vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare four existing vehicles as surplus property and
authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.

Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one unmarked Ford Taurus,
two 2017 Ford Police Interceptor sedans, one 2017 Ford F-250 police vehicle and one 2017 Ford
F-150 police vehicle, each equipped to Village specifications, from Garber Ford pursuant to
State Term Contract No. 25100000-16-1 ("Motor Vehicles") and the purchase of one 2017
Chevrolet Tahoe for use by the Fire Rescue Department, equipped to Village specifications, from
Stingray Chevrolet pursuant to Florida Sheriffs Association Contract No. FSA16-VEL24.0
("Police Rated, Administrative, Utility Vehicles, Trucks & Vans"). The total amount expended for
these vehicles shall not exceed $206,338.50, with $168,930.00 being expended from Account No.
K5711-66410 (Police — Automotive) and $37,408.50 being expended from Account No. K5812-66410
(Fire Rescue — Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Cleric are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. All resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 7. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
