A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM THE
WINDOW GUYS OF FLORIDA, INC. FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
WINDOWS AND DOORS AT THE VILLAGE LIBRARY; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village solicited proposals to replace the lower level windows and doors at the
Village Library with impact -resistant glass; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration received three proposals and recommended accepting the
lowest -cost proposal submitted by The Window Guys of Florida, Inc. in the amount of
$15,870.00; and
WHEREAS, the Village's purchasing policies and procedures require three written quotes for all
purchases having an estimated cost between $2,500.00 and $25,000.00 and Village Council
approval for all purchases in excess of $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves and accepts the proposal from The Window
Guys of Florida, Inc. for the purchase of impact -resistant windows and doors for the Village
Library at a total cost of $15,870.00, with funds expended from Account No. A5519-34620
(Facility Services — R&M Building & Grounds). The Village Council further authorizes the
Village Manager to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this purchase.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 12TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2017.

generated during installation.
— TWG will provide ail necessary tools and materials to complete installation (screws,
shims, drill bits, sealant, wood bucking, etc.)

Minor drywall or stucco repair by TWG
Cutting of any floor or bathroom tile required to accept doors or windows if required is
by TWG. (We cut as carefully as possible, but sometimes we get a chip or crack) If
this happens it is owner's responsibility to repair.
Any bucking work required by TWG if required
Waterproofing of the exterior perimeter caulk bead to stucco by TWG
— TWG is responsible for providing Workers Compensation and General Liability to
meet the needs of the Project. We have a $2,000,000.00 General Liability Policy with
a $5,000,000.00 Umbrella.
— Taxes included
Permit Processing and Engineering by TWG
— Final adjustment of windows and doors are at end of installation and a walk-thru is
made to check each door and window by TWG & owner to sign off completed work.
