A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO
THE VILLAGE MANAGER'S EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT TO MODIFY
THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2017-15, the Village Council approved an
Employment Agreement with Andrew D. Lukasik to serve as Village Manager; and
WHEREAS, Section 9 of the Employment Agreement requires that the Village Manager attain
residency within six (6) months of his employment date; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Agreement to allow the Village Manager additional
time to attain residency; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves an Amendment to the Village Manager's
Employment Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, and
authorizes the Mayor and Village Cleric to execute the Amendment on behalf of the Village.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 12TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2017.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into this � day of October, 2017
by and between the Village of North Palm Beach, a Florida municipal corporation
(hereinafter "Village") and Andrew D. Lukasik (hereinafter "Village Manager").
WHEREAS, the parties entered into an Employment Agreement dated
February 21, 2017 ("Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Agreement to modify the residency
requirement set forth in Section 9 of the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth in the
Agreement and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of
which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
1. Section 9 of the Employment Agreement is hereby amended to read as follows:
Within one (1) year of his Employment Date, the Village Manager shall
attain residence within the Village's corporate limits and retain Village residency
during the period of his appointment as Village Manager.
2. All other provisions of the Agreement, to the extent not expressly modified
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
