A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE
ORDER WITH R. GEORGE & ASSOCIATES, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $40,256.34 FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIBRARY SHELVING
AND FURNITURE PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY STATE
CONTRACTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year, and
blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration requested approval of a blanket purchase order in the amount
of $40,256.34 with R. George & Associates, Inc. for the purchase of the following shelving and
furniture for the Village Library in accordance with pricing established by State Contract:
$26,656.05 with Brodart Contract Furniture pursuant to State Contract No. 56121000-15-1
("Furniture: Libraries"); $10,950.63 with Borroughs Corporation pursuant to State Contract No.
56121000-15-1 ("Furniture: Libraries"); and $2,649.66 with Artopex, Inc. pursuant to State Contract
No. 425-001-12-1 ("Furniture: Office and Files"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order in the
amount of $40,256.34 with R. George & Associates, Inc. pursuant to pricing established by State
Contract Nos. 56121000-15-1 ("Furniture: Libraries") and 425-001-12-1 ("Furniture: Office and Files").
The funds for these purchases shall be expended from Account No. A7927-33160 (Library —
Donation Expense).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
