A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE
ORDER FOR TEN -8 FIRE EQUIPMENT, INC. FOR REPAIRS TO FIRE
RESCUE APPARATUS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR PREVIOUSLY INCURRED EXPENSES;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is requesting the issuance of a blanket purchase order to Ten -8
Fire Equipment, Inc. in the amount of $25,000.00, for repairs to fire rescue apparatus and the
authorization of payment for previously incurred expenses; and
WHEREAS, Ten -8 Fire Equipment, Inc. is the sole provider of parts and the factory repair agent
for Pierce Manufacturing, the manufacturer of the Village's fire apparatus; and
WHEREAS, Village Council approval is required when the aggregate fiscal year spending for a
single vendor exceeds $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order to
Ten -8 Fire Equipment, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00, and authorizes payment for
previously incurred expenses in the amount of $16,059.50 (included within the total amount of the
purchase order), with funds expended from Account No. A5812-34610 (Fire Rescue -R&M Automotive).
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
