A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF SIX
SATELLITE COLLECTION VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CONCURRENT COMPETITIVE
PURCHASE OF SIX KUBOTA DIESEL RTV -X900 CHASSIS FROM RIDGE
EQUIPMENT COMPANY PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING FLORIDA
SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION & FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
CONTRACT FOR CAB AND CHASSIS TRUCKS AND OTHER FLEET
EQUIPMENT AND THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF COLLECTION
RETROFIT COMPONENTS FROM THE KRUIS COMPANY;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERIC-
TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER
$255,330.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE
SANITATION - AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting the purchase of six satellite collection
vehicles as listed on the Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of six Kubota Diesel RTV -X900
chassis from Ridge Equipment Company pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association & Florida
Association of Counties Contract No. FSA16- VEH14.0 (Cab and Chassis Trucks and Other Fleet
Equipment /Specification No. 2 Off -Road Utility Vehicles 4 Wheel Drive) and the sole source
purchase of satellite collection retrofit components from The Kruise Company; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $255,330.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Sanitation Automotive Capital
Account to fund the purchase of the vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of six Kubota Diesel RTV -X900
chassis from Ridge Equipment Company pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association & Florida
Association of Counties Contract No. FSA16- VEH14.0 (Cab and Chassis Trucks and Other Fleet
Equipment/Specification No. 2 Off -Road Utility Vehicles 4 Wheel Drive) at a cost of $98,934.00
and the sole source purchase of satellite collection retrofit components from The Kruise Company
at a cost of $156,396.00. The total amount expended for these vehicles shall not exceed
$255,330.00, with funds expended from Account No. K7020 -66410 (Sanitation — Automotive).

Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. All resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
