A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AGREEMENTS WITH
NEW ACTON MOBILE INDUSTRIES D /B /A ACTON MOBILE FOR THE
LEASE OF TEMPORARY BUILDINGS AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH
COUNTRY CLUB AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS; WAIVING THE COMPETITIVE
BIDDING REQUIREMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is seeking Council approval of two Lease Agreements, as
modified by an Addendum, with New Acton Mobile Industries d/b /a Acton Mobile
("Acton Mobile ") for temporary buildings to house golf, pool and food and beverage operations
during the construction of the new clubhouse at the North Palm Beach Country Club; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration successfully obtained written quotes from three companies and
has requested a waiver of the competitive bidding requirement because of time constraints, its belief
that formal competitive procurement will not result in a cost savings to the Village, and the fact that
the only existing lease for which concurrent competitive purchasing is available will result in a
higher cost; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the execution of Lease Agreements with
Acton Mobile and the waiver of the competitive bidding requirement is in the best interests of the
residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves Lease Agreements with New Acton Mobile
Industries, LLC d /b /a Acton Mobile for two double -wide (24' x 60') temporary buildings to
house golf, pool and food and beverage operations during the construction of the new clubhouse
at the North Palm Beach Country Club and authorizes the Village Manager to execute the Lease
Agreements, as modified by an Addendum, and take all actions necessary to effectuate this
transaction. The total cost shall not exceed $45,000.00, with funds expended from Account No.
A5540 -66210 (Reserve Expense — Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
