HELD THURSDAY, MAY 16, 1996

ROLL CALL
Vice Mayor Valente called the Special Session to order at 5:20 p.m. All members of
Council were present except Mayor Marks, who had a medical emergency, and
Councilman Vastola, who was out of town. All members of staff were present.
BILL 826 -IMPOSING SIX-MONTH MORATORIUM ON ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES
President Pro Tem Kelley moved that Bill 826 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AND IMPOSING A
SIX-MONTH MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR
ADDITIONAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES INCLUDING
ANTENNA TOWERS WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL LIMITS OFTHE VILLAGE;
PROVIDING FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
be placed on first reading and read by title alone. Councilman O'Meilia seconded the
motion, and all present voted aye.
Vice Mayor Valente announced that Public Hearing, followed by second reading, will be
• held on Thursday, May 30, 1996 at 5:15 p.m. and 5:20 p.m., respectively.
