ROLL CALL
Vice Mayor Valente called the meeting to order at 7:24 p.m. All members of Council were
present except Mayor Marks, who was recovering from surgery. All members of staff
were present.
PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
• The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the public concerning Bill
838, a proposed ordinance adding a Subsection (9) to Section 45.34.1, C-3 Regional
Business District, of Article III of Appendix C-Zoning of the Code, prohibiting retail sale
of alcoholic beverages within 500 feet of a church, synagogue, temple or other place of
worship within C-3 Regional Business District.
