ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
BILL 727 - OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 - PLAC:
FIRST READING
' Councilman Valente moved that Bi11 727 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING BUDGETS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 1993, TO
SEPTEMBER 30, 1994, BOTH INCLUSIVE, FOR THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH GENERAL FUND, INCLUDING DEBT RETIREMENT,
AND FOR THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB REVENUE FUND;
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS
ORDINANCE
be placed on first reading and read by title alone. Vice Mayor
Vastola seconded the motion. The motion passed 4-1, with
Councilman Valente, Vice Mayor Vastola, Councilman Pierman and
Mayor Marks voting aye, and President Pro Tem Atwater voting nay.
BILL 728 - UTILITY TAX - PLACED ON FIRST READING
Vice Mayor Vastola moved that Bill 728 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THS VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 26-29 OF
ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 26 OF THS CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE VILLAGE BY CHANGING THE TAX LEVIED ON THE PURCHASE OF
ELECTRICITY, METERED GAS AND BOTTLED GAS (NATURAL
LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS OR MANUFACTURED GAS), AND LEVYING
' A TAX ON PURCHASB OF FUEL OIL AT THE RATE OF 2 CENTS PSR
GALLON WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THS VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

INTERVIEWS FOR POSITIONS ON THE COUNTRY CLUB ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD
The Village Council interviewed the following applicants to the
Country Club Administrative Board:
Mark Finney - Pool Member
Henry Gorman - Pool Member
Emery Newell - Tennis Member
Frank Shone - Incumbent Golf Member
Chuck Weston - Incumbent Golf Member
Other applicants will be interviewed at the Regular Session of
September 23, 1993, prior to Council making the appointments.
