VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1993

ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
PURPOSE OF PUBLIC HEARING
' The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the
Public concerning the proposed 1993-94 Operating Budget, including
the North Palm Beach Country Club.
As stipulated in the Truth in Millage (TRIM) Bill, every owner of
real property in the County was notified by the Palm Beach County
Tax Assessor of proposed property taxes and Public Hearing. No
further legal publication of Public Hearing by the Village was
required.
Mayor Mark announced that the proposed millage rate is 4.9, with a
7.7% increase over the current rolled-back rate.
There were no comments from the Public on the proposed budget.
TENTATIVE OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED
Councilman Valente moved that the tentative operating budget for
Fiscal Year 1993-94 be adopted. Vice Mayor Vastola seconded the
motion.
During discussion, Councilman Valente moved to amend the budget by
incorporating changes to the Country Club's restaurant budget, as
detailed by Club Manager Alan Sayer in his memo of September 9,
' 1993, and approved by the Country Club Administrative Board at
their meeting of September 13, 1993. Vice Mayor Vastola seconded
the motion, and all present voted aye.

' Held Tuesday, September 14, 1993
Thereafter, the original motion, as amended, passed 4-1, with
Councilman Valente, Vice Mayor Vastola, Councilman Pierman and
Mayor Marks voting aye, and President Pro Tem Atwater voting nay.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
