A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO AN
I AGREEMENT WITH NZ CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR CURRENT AND
LONG RANGE PLANNING AND ZONING SERVICES PURSUANT TO
PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CONTRACT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN NZ CONSULTANTS, INC. AND THE CITY OF LAKE WORTH
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE
THE AMENDMENT ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 30, 2016, the Village Manager executed an Agreement for Current
and Long Range Planning, and Zoning Services with NZ Consultants, Inc. on an interim basis in
accordance with (or by "piggybacking ") the terms, conditions and pricing established in an
existing competitively bid contract between NZ Consultants, Inc. and the City of Lake Worth; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures, the amount of
compensation was capped at $10,000; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is in need of additional planning and zoning services
through the end of the fiscal year and is recommending the execution of an Amendment to the
Agreement to increase the compensation to $25,000; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures, all
agreements in excess of $10,000 require Village Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the approval of the Amendment to the Contract is
in the best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves an Amendment to the Agreement for Services
with NZ Consultants, Inc. for Current and Long Range Planning and Zoning Services, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, and authorizes the Mayor and Village Clerk to
execute the Amendment on behalf of the Village. The total compensation paid pursuant to the
Amendment shall not exceed $25,000, with funds expended from Account No. A5206 -33190
(Community Development Department /Planning Division — Professional Services).
Section 3.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into this fiA day of December, 2016, by and
between the VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, a Florida municipal corporation
( "VILLAGE ") and NZ CONSULTANTS, INC., 1851 W. Indiantown Road Suite 100, Jupiter,
Florida 33458 (CONTRACTOR "), whose Federal I.D. No. is 27- 0681325.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE and CONTRACTOR entered into an Agreement for Services
dated September 30, 2016 ( "Agreement ") whereby CONTRACTOR agreed to provide Current
and Long Range Planning and Zoning Services in accordance with (or by "piggybacking ") the
terms, conditions and pricing established by an existing competitively bid Contract for Services
between CONTRACTOR and the City of Lake Worth; and
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE is in need of adding additional interim services beyond the
initial estimated contract amount; and
WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR has agreed to provide these additional services at the terms,
conditions and pricing previously established.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual representations and obligations set
forth herein and in the Agreement, as amended, and other good and valuable consideration, the
receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
Section 5 of the Agreement is hereby amended to increase the total compensation
paid by VILLAGE to CONTRACTOR from not to exceed $10,000 to not to exceed
$25,000.
2. All other provisions of the Agreement, to the extent not expressly modified herein,
shall remain in full force and effect.
