ROLL CALL
Mayor Pierman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. All members
of Council were present. A11 members of staff were present.
INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
' Councilman Vastola gave the invocation, and Councilman Valente led
the Public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The following Minutes were approved as written:

REPORT OF THE MAYOR
On behalf of the Village Council, Mayor Pierman presented a plaque
to Karen Harder for her service on the Planning Commission.
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
As a result of a complaint by Tom Monaghan of 548 Gulf Road
regarding the lack of plantings at Anchorage Park, the Village
Manager was directed to obtain prices on a hedge for the Seacoast
Utility fence and to make a report to Council at the next regular
session on September 10, 1992.
The Regular Session recessed at 7:50 p.m. for the purpose of
reconvening the Public Hearing, and reconvened at 8:00 p.m.

RECOMMENDATION BY THE COUNTRY CLUB ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD_ _I
President Pro Tem Marks moved to accept the recommendation of three
applicants for Tennis Professional, ranked as follows: 1) Jeff
Adler; 2) Frank "Buddy" Goeltz; 3) Pancho Castillo. Councilman
Valente seconded the motion, which passed 5-0.
The Country Club Administrative Board requested that they be
allowed to contribute to the hurricane relief effort. The Council
agreed that help should be given, but recommended it be done by
collecting needed food and supplies or special donations. The
Village Attorney stated that budgeted income could not be used for
this purpose.
VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
The Village Manager was directed to check the status of delinquent
tax payments by Armando Denaro, specifically the stipulated
deadline for payment, and to report back to the Council as soon as
possible.

RESOLUTION 28-92 ADOPTED - EMS GRANT
Councilman Valente moved to adopt Resolution 28-92, a proposed
resolution certifying that monies from the EMS Grant will improve
and expand emergency medical dispatching services in the Village of
North Palm Beach. Councilman Vastola seconded the motion, and all
' present voted aye.
BUDGET TRANSFER APPROVED - TREE WELL CONSTRUCTION
President Pro Tem Marks moved that a budget transfer in the amount
of $5,000.00 from L8070-49910 (Country Club Contingency) to L8045-
34620 (R&M-Bldgs. & Grounds) for the purpose of constructing tree
wells around oak trees on Intracoastal Waterway be approved.
Councilman Valente seconded the motion, and all present voted aye.
NPBCC PROFESSIONALS CONTRACTS APPROVED
President Pro Tem Marks moved to approve the North Palm Beach
Country Club Professionals' contracts for golf, tennis and pool,
and to submit them to the Pro's for their signature, and
resubmitted to the Mayor for signature. The motion died due to
lack of a second.
After discussion, President Pro Tem Marks moved to reconsider his
motion to approve the North Palm Beach Country Club Professionals'
contracts for golf, tennis and pool for signature by the
Professionals, and return to Council for approval.
Mayor Pierman passed the gavel to Vice Mayor Kelsey and seconded
the motion. All present voted aye.
Thereafter, Vice Mayor Kelsey returned the gavel to Mayor Pierman.
