Mayor Marks called the Special Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The
purpose of the meeting was to interview vendors that had submitted
proposals for leasing the Country Club Restaurant.
The three applicants present were Charles and Elizabeth Brady, and
Carl Abendroth; Stephan Brooks and Michael Horwitz of CMC, Inc.;
and Mr. Armando Denaro.
All members of Council interviewed the applicants and discussed
various aspects of the contract. All applicants indicated that
they could be in operation on February 1, 1991.
Councilman Moore moved to name Charles and Elizabeth Brady and Carl
Abendroth as the new restaurant lessee, with language being
inserted into the contract to indicate those individuals as the
principals. Vice Mayor Gardner seconded the motion. The motion
passed 3-2, with Councilman Moore, Vice Mayor Gardner, and Mayor
Marks voting aye, and President Pro Tem Pierman and Councilman
Grinn voting nay.
There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting
adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
