( A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2017 MARKED FORD INTERCEPTOR POLICE UTILITY VEHICLE AND
ONE 2017 UNMARKED FORD INTERCEPTOR POLICE UTILITY VEHICLE
FROM GARBER FORD INC. PURSUANT TO AN EXISTING STATE TERM
CONTRACT FOR MOTOR VEHICLES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECT
FUNDS BUDGET TO TRANSFER $68,497.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE
ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE — AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT;
DECLARING SPECIFIED VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting the purchase of two vehicles as listed on the
Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of one 2017 marked Ford Interceptor
police utility vehicle and one 2017 unmarked Ford Interceptor police utility vehicle, each equipped in
accordance with Village specifications, from Garber Ford Inc. pursuant to State Term Contract No.
25100000 -16 -1 (Motor Vehicles) Sub -Group D (Police /Special Service Sport Utility Vehicles); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $68,497.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police Automotive Capital Account
to fund the purchase of the vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to designate two existing police vehicles as surplus
property and authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2017 marked Ford
Interceptor police utility vehicle and one 2017 unmarked Ford Interceptor police utility vehicle, each
equipped in accordance with Village specifications, from Garber Ford pursuant to State Term Contract
No. 25100000 -16 -1 (Motor Vehicles) Sub -Group D (Police /Special Service Sport Utility Vehicles).
The total amount expended for these vehicles shall not exceed $68,496.50, with funds expended
from Account No. K5711 -66410 (Police –Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. The Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and
authorizes their disposal in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. All resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
