ROLL CALL
Mayor Pierman called the Special Session to order at 7:00 p.m. All
members of the Council were present except Councilman Valente. The
Village Manager, Village Clerk and Deputy Village Clerk were
present.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
The purpose of the meeting is to constitute the Council as the
official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of
canvassing the vote of March 13, 1990 in accordance with Section
10-25 of the Village Code.
COMPUTER PRINTOUT INSPECTED
' The Council inspected the computer printout sheet containing the
election returns, which had been certified by Jackie Winchester,
Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County.
TOTAL COUNT OF BALLOTS CAST
The total count of ballots cast in the General Election of March
13, 1990 for candidates, including absentee ballots, is 2,543. The
total count of ballots cast in the General Election of March 13,
1990 on the Annexation Question is 31; this includes one absentee
ballot. The results are as follows:
VILLAGE COUNCILMAN, GROUP 1
James B. (Jim) Eckersen received 814 votes
Judy M. Pierman received 1470 votes
VILLAGE COUNCILMAN, GROUP 3
Jerry G. Gardner received 1254 votes
Harriet Nolan received 1183 votes
VILLAGE COUNCILMAN, GROUP 5
Manny Grinn received 1213 votes
Tom Valente received 1126 votes

RESOLUTION NO. 7-90 ADOPTED
President Pro Tem Marks moved that Resolution No. 7-90 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON
MARCH 13, 1990
be adopted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Moore and all
present voted aye.
OATHS OF OFFICE ADMINISTERED
The Village Clerk administered oaths of Office to the two incumbent
Councilmen, Judy M. Pierman and Jerry G. Gardner, and to newly
elected Councilman Manny Grinn. These oaths shall be attached to
the minutes of this meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
' There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
