ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION 2016 -63 ADOPTED — DECLARING A STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY
Councilmember Gebbia moved that Resolution 2016 -63 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING A STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
be adopted. Councilmember Mullinix seconded the motion.
Mr. Kelly gave an update on Hurricane Matthew and the status of school and governmental
office closings. Mr. Kelly reviewed Village hours of operation. Discussion was held regarding
garbage and vegetation pickup. Discussion ensued on early release of employees on Wednesday,
October 5, 2016 so that they may prepare for storm conditions. Brief discussion took place
concerning evacuation zones.
Thereafter, the motion to adopt Resolution 2016 -63 passed unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
