MINUTES OF SPECIAL SESSION
OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15, 1989

Absent: Craig Mundt, Mayor
Vice Mayor Pierman called the Special Session to order at 7:00 ROLL CALL
p.m. All members of the Council were present except Mayor Mundt
who is out of state. The Village Manager and the Village Clerk
were present.
The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council as the PURPOSE OF
official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of MEETING
canvassing the vote of March 14, 1989 in accordance with Section
10-25 of the Village Code.
The Council inspected the computer printout sheet containing the COMPUTER
election returns, which had been certified by Jackie Winchester, PRINTOUT
Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County. INSPECTED
The total count of ballots cast in the General Election of March TOTAL COUNT
14, 1989, including absentee ballots, is 2,091. The results are OF BALLOTS
as follows: CAST
' Village Councilman, Group 2:
Al Moore received 1,091 votes
Richard Voss received _- 761 votes
Village Councilman, Group 4:
Manny Grinn received 928 votes
V. A. Marks received 1,044 votes
President Pro Tem Valente moved that Resolution No. 11-89 RES. 11-89
entitled: ADOPTED
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD
ON MARCH 14, 1989
be adopted. The motion was seconded Councilman Gardner and
passed unanimously.
The Village Clerk administered Oaths of Office to Councilman OATHS OF
Marks and Councilman Moore, the two successful candidates. These OFFICE
oaths are in accordance with Section 2-41 of the Village Code and ADMINISTERED
shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council.
' There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
meeting was adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
