Mayor Pierman called the Special Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present except Vice Mayor Gardner
and President Pro Tem Marks who were out of state. The Village
Manager and the Village Clerk were present.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider adoption of an PURPOSE OF
ordinance to implement the roughs and fairways project at the MEETING
North Palm Beach Country Club.
Councilman Moore moved that Bill No. 572 entitled: BILL 572
PLACED ON FIRST
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, READING 6N EMER-
AMENDING THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB BUDGET FOR FISCAL GENCY BASIS
YEAR 1988-89 BY APPROPRIATION TRANSFER FROM THE GREEN FEES
FOR THE ROUGHS AND FAIRWAYS
be placed on first reading, on an emergency basis, and read in
total. The motion was seconded by Councilman Valente and all
present voted aye.
Councilman Moore stated that the reason for this emergency REASOfd FOR
ordinance is that if the contractor doesn't complete the work on EMERGENCY
the remainder of the 13th fairway, the total of the 15th and the ORDINANCE
total of the 17th before they put the sprinkler system in, they
will not be able to do it.
Councilman Moore moved to amend Bill No. 572 by deleting Section BILL 572
2 in total and renumbering Section 3 as Section 2. The motion AMENDED
was seconded by Councilman Valente and all present voted aye.
Councilman Moore moved that 8i11 No. 572 be placed on second
reading and read by title alone. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Valente and all present voted aye.
Councilman Moore moved that Bill No. 572, as amended, be adopted
as Ordinance No. 12-89. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Valente and all present voted aye.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
