Mayor Mundt called the Emergency Session to order at 2:02 p.m ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present except Councilman Marks.
A71 members of the staff were present.
The purpose of the Emergency Session was to modify the language PURPOSE OF
which had been submitted to the Supervisor of Elections' office EMERGENCY
for Ordinance No. 11-86, the greenspace ordinance. The SESSION
Supervisor of Elections' office advised that any item appearing
on the ballot (for the General Election of November 4, 1986)
must be seventy-five words or less, and we had to resubmit the --
revised language to the Supervisor of Elections' office by 5:00
p.m. today.
Vice Mayor Valente moved that Bill No. 490 entitled: BILL 490
PLACED ON FIRST
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, READING & READ
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11-86, SAID AMENDMENT REVISING IN TOTAL
SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE- REPHRASING THE FORM OF THE
QUESTION TO BE VOTED UPON AT THE REFERENDUM ELECTION, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
be placed on first reading and read in total. The motion was
seconded by President Pro Tem Mays and passed unanimously.
Councilman Pierman moved that Bill No. 490 be placed on second SILL 490
reading and read by title alone. The motion was seconded by Vice PLACED ON
Mayor Valente and passed unanimously. SECOND READING

President Pro Tem Mays moved that Bill No. 490 be adopted as BILL 490
Ordinance No. 13-86. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor ADOPTED AS
Valente and passed unanimously. ORD. 13-86
There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
Emergency Session was adjourned at 2:07 p.m.
