THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1986

Absent: Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager
Mayor Mundt called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 p.m. All
members of the Council were present. All members of the staff
were present except the Village Manager, who is ill.
Councilman Marks gave the invocation and Vice Mayor Valente led
the Council -and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the
Flag.
The Minutes of Regular Session held Thursday, October 9, 1986
were approved as written.
The Minutes of Recreation Advisory Board Meeting held October 14,
1986 were accepted as corrected.
Councilman Pierman moved that we accept the recommendation of the
' Recreation Advisory Board that Council look further for an
installer for the gym divider as Wimer Stubbs has a poor track
record with the gym. The motion died for lack of a second.
Councilman Marks moved that the following bills be placed on
first reading and read by title alone. The motion was seconded
by Vice Mayor Valente and passed unanimously.

Vice Mayor Valente moved that Resolution No. 24-86 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID OF WIMER-STUBBS, BOCA RATON,
FLORIDA, FOR A GYMNASIUM DIVIDER FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER IN
THE AMOUNT OF $7,973.70 FROM CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNT N0.

be adopted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks.
During the discussion, the motion was withdrawn.
Councilman Pierman moved that we cancel the Council Meetings of
Thursday, November 27th, and Thursday, December 25th, due to the
Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The motion was seconded by
President Pro Tem Mays and passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
