03-24-1986 VC SP-MMINUTES OF SPECIAL SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD MONDAY, MARCH 24, 1986 Present: Craig Mundt, Mayor Tom Valente, Vice Mayor Kenneth H. Mays, D.M.D., President Pro Tem V. A. Marks, M.D., Councilman Judy M. Pierman, Councilman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Steve Sandusky, Country Club Administrator Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Mundt called the Special Session to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of the Council were present except Councilman Marks, who arrived at 8:00 p.m. All members of the staff were present except Ray Howland, Village Manager. Vice Mayor Valente moved that the Council interview Mr. Tom Fronizer of Tefco, Inc., a prospectve Lessee for the North Palm Beach Country Club Restaurant. The motion was seconded by Councilman Pierman and passed unanimously. The Council then interviewed Mr. Fronizer at great length. President Pro Tem Mays moved that we select Tefco as the Lessee for the North Palm Beach Country Club Restaurant. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Valente for discussion. Councilman Marks moved that we select Mr. Armando Denaro as the lessee for the Country Club Restaurant. The motion died for lack of a second. Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which passed 4-1 with Councilman Marks opposed. Vice Mayor Valente moved that we authorize the Village Attorney to revise the proposed lease for the Country Club Restaurant. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks. President Pro Tem Mays moved to amend the motion as follows: That we authorize the Village Attorney to complete the lease with Tefco as quickly as possible and that it can be executed upon completion of the lease discussions between the parties. By consent of Vice Mayor Valente, the maker of the original motion, this was incorporated into the motion and it passed unanimously.
