07-24-1986 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, JULY 24, 1986 Present: Craig Mundt, Mayor Tom Valente, Vice Mayor Kenneth H. Mays, D.M.D., President Pro Tem V. A. Marks, M. D., Councilman Judy M. Pierman, Councilman Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Phillip C. Gildan, Village Attorney Absent: Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Mundt called the Regular Session to order at 7:32 p.m. All ROLL CALL members of the Council were present except President Pro Tem Mays who arrived at 7:33 p.m. All members of the staff were present except Dolores Walker, Village Clerk, who was out of town. Vice Mayor Marks gave the invocation and Mayor Mundt led the INVOCATION & Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Minutes of Regular Session held Thursday, July 10, 1986 were APPROVAL OF approved as written. MINUTES Mayor Mundt, on behalf of the Village, presented Certificates of PRESENTATION OF ' Appreciation to Jim Putlock, Mike Garcia, Tom Coxon, Louis CERTIFICATES OF Marcati and Eric Cooper for their participation in painting the APPRECIATION Ship's Wheels at the entrances to the Village. This was a project that Jim Putlock had chosen to receive his promotion to Eagle Scout. Certificates of Appreciation will be mailed to those young men who were unable to attend the meeting to receive them. The following minutes were accepted as written: ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Minutes of Library Advisory Board Meeting held June 24, 1986 Minutes of Recreation Advisory Board held July 8, 1986 Minutes of Regular Meeting of North Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board held July 15, 1986 Vice Mayor Valente moved to accept the recommendation of the LIBRARY Library Advisory Board that signs be erected on the Village Hall ADVISORY BD. property that will easily identify all major functions in the RECOMMENDATION complex, and that such signs be in conformity with the North Palm ACCEPTED Beach Village signs, with the modification that the Library Board have Mr. O'Meilia draw up signs that would be suitable for the motif of the Village, and that these signs be brought back to the Council for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks and passed unanimously. Councilman Pierman moved that we accept the recommendation of the RECREATION Recreation Advisory Board that we obtain enough carpet to cover ADVISORY BD. the stage used during the productions, with a suggestion that the RECOMMENDATION old carpet at the library be used. The motion was seconded by ACCEPTED President Pro Tem Mays and passed unanimously.
