j A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
( NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF
PUBLIC RISK MANAGEMENT OF FLORIDA TO PROVIDE PROPERTY
AND CASUALTY INSURANCE; AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT TO RENEW ON BEHALF OF
THE VILLAGE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village requested that The Gehring Group issue a request for proposals from
various insurance companies; and
WHEREAS, Village administration recommends the acceptance of the proposal submitted by
Public Risk Management of Florida to provide Property and Casualty Insurance for the Village;
and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the acceptance of this proposal is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby accepts the proposal submitted by Public Risk
Management of Florida to provide property and casualty insurance to the Village in accordance
with the pricing, terms and conditions set forth in the proposal. The Village Council further
authorizes members of Village Administration to take all actions necessary to implement the
insurance policy as of October 1, 2016.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
