Mayor Valente called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 p.m.
All members of the Council were present. All members of the staff
were present except the Village Clerk, who is on vacation.
Mayor Valente gave the invocation, and President Pro Tem Nolan
led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the
Flag.

Councilman Marks moved that Bill No. 471 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE BY SUBSTITUTING THE CODE
ENFORCEMENT BOARD FOR THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT IN CODE
SECTIONS 14-44 AND 14-46
be placed on second reading and read by title alone. The motion
was seconded by President Pro Tem Nolan and passed unanimously.
Vice Mayor Moore moved that Bill No. 471 be adopted as Ordinance
No. 14-85. The motion was seconded by President Pro Tem Nolan
and passsed unanimously.
Councilman Mundt moved that we approve Perry Cable's proposed
rate increases effective January 1, 1986 (as set forth in the
July 11, 1985 letter from Perry Cable TV to the Village Council),
copy of which is attached to the minutes of this meeting Mayor
Valente passed the gavel to Uice Mayor Moore and seconded the
motion. The motion failed 2-3, with Mayor Valente and
Councilman Mundt voting aye, and Vice Mayor Moore, President Pro
Tem Nolan, and Councilman Marks voting nay.

Vice Mayor Moore moved that we discuss either the demolition
or the saving of one or more of the old buildings. (the old EMS
building and the Volunteer Fire Department building at Anchorage
Park). The motion was seconded by President Pro Tem Nolan.
After discussion of the above, Vice Mayor Moore moved that
neither one of these buildings be destroyed at this time. The
motion was seconded by President Pro Tem Nolan and passed 4-1,
with Councilman Marks opposed.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
