Mayor Valente called the Special Session to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present.
The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council as the PURPOSE OF
official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of MEETING
canvassing the vote of March 13, 1984 in accordance with Section
10-25 of the Village Code.
The Council inspected the computer print out sheets containing COMPUTER PRINT
the election returns, which had been certified by Jackie OUTS INSPECTED
Winchester, Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County.
The total count of ballots cast in the General Election of March TOTAL COUNT
13, 1984, including absentee ballots, is 3,857. The results are OF BALLOTS
as follows: CAST
Village Councilman, Group 1
James J. Green received 1,471 votes
Al Moore received 1,930 votes ,. .
Village Councilman, Group 3
Harriet Nolan received 1,799 votes
John W. (Jack) Ridgway received 1,606 votes
Village Councilman, Group 5
Mike Cirullo received 1,312 votes
Tom Valente received 2,080 votes
On motion of Vice Mayor Marks, seconded by Councilman Moore, all RES. 9-84
present voting aye,-=proposed Resolution No. 9-84 entitled: ADOPTED
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD
ON MARCH 13, 1984
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 9-84.
The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Councilman OATHS OF
Tom Valente, Councilman Al Moore and Councilwoman Harriet Nolan, OFFICE
all who had been re-elected. These oaths are in accordance with ADMINISTERED
Section 2-41 of the Village Code and shall be spread upon the
minutes of the Council.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
