Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Moore called the regular session to order at 7:30 p.m. ROLL CALL A11 members of the Council and the staff were present. Councilman Valente gave the invocation and President Pro T~ INQOCATIGN & Nolan. led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance . - PLEDGE OF to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE The organization of the Council is required by the Village COUNCIL Charter to be done at the next regular meeting of the Council ORGANIZATI~d following the election of any Councilman. Therefore, Council proceeded with its organization in accordance with Article LIT, Section 3, of the Village Charter. Councilman Marks n~is~ated Tan Valente for the office of Mayor T~Z~1 VALENTE of the Village of North Palm Beach. Mayor Moore n(rn;nated ELECTID MAYOR Harriet Nolan. President Pro Tan Nolan *+~*~+;Hated V. A. Marks, who declined. Camcil then voted by ballot on the nominations for Mayor. Tart Valente received three votes and Harriet Tdolan received two votes; therefore, Tcm Valente was elected Mayor. The ballots shall be spread upon the minutes of the Crnmcil. Councilman Mundt nrw,,;,,ated V. A. Marks for the office of Vice V. A. MARKS Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach. Mayor Moore mxn;nated ELECTID VICE Harriet Nolan, who declined. There being no further naninations, MAYOR V. A. Marks was elected Vice Mayor. Councilman Valente nnrrrinated Craig Mundt for the office of CRAIG MUNIYL President Pro Tmi of the Village of North Palm Beach. There ELECTID PRESIDENT being no further nominations, Craig Mundt was elected President PRO TQ~I Pro Tem. The Village Manager placed the names of Tan Valente as Mayor, PLACEMIIVT OF NAMES V. A. Marks as Vice Mayor, and Craig D4imdt as President Pro ON PROPOSID RES. Tem on proposed Resolution No. 10-83.- 10-83 On motion of Colulc;lman Valente, seconded by Councilman Marks, RES. 10-83 all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 10-83 entitled: ADOPTED A RESOLUTION OF THE VTTTAf:F COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOTi]TP~IG CERTAIN OFFICERS FOR SUCH VILSAGE was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 10-83. The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Mayor OATHS OF OFFICE Valente, Vice Mayor Marks, and President Pro Tem Mamdt. Councilcxman Nolan moved that we approve the energency APPROVAL OF repair of the pipeline that comes from the Ea,-n,a., River ICY REPAIR and feeds the irrigation systen of the Village and the OF PIPEL1DiE Country Club in the amount of $1,539.50 to be expended as follows: $307.90 fx~ Account No. 34-541-52.16 (Irri- gation Supplies), $307.40 from Account No. 36-572-52.16 (Irrigation Supplies), and $923.70 fran Account No. 11.1- 572-46.40 (R & M Irrigation). The motion was seconded by President Pro Ten Mundt and passed unanimously. Councilwoman Nolan moved that we approve a 1/3 page Pro- MOTION TO APPROVE gram Book ad in an amount not to exceed $25.00 for the 1/3 PAGE AD FOR North Pa]m Beach Youth Activities Association, Inc. Mayor NPBYAA FAILED Valente passed the gavel to Vice Mayor Marks and seconded the motion. The motion failed 2-3, with Mayor Valente and Councilw~z Nolan voting for and Vice Mayor Marks, President Pro Tem M~mdt and Councilman Moore voting against.
