Brown, Vice Mayor Harriet Nolan, President Pro T~ Tom Valente, Covncilmm Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Absent: V. A. Marks, M.D., Councilman. Mayor Moore called. the Regular Session to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of the Council and staff were present except Councilman Marks, who was out of town on business. Councilman Valente gave the invocation and Vice Mayor Brawn led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. On motion of President Pro Tem Nolan; seconded by Councilm~i Valente, alI present voting aye, the-following minutes were approved as written: Minutes of Public Hearing held Thursday, Jvly 22, 1982 Minutes of Regular Session held Thtffsday; July 22, 1982 Mayor Moore, on. behalf of the Village, presented a plaque and a gift certificate to Gurlester Belk, Sr: and Ernest Bw-rs for t*,aenty years of continuous and faithful service to the Village. Minutes of Regular Session Reconvened Monday, July 26, 1982 On motion of Councilman Valente, seconded by Vice Mayor Brown, all present voting aye, the following minutes were accepted by Council: Minutes of Regular Meeting of North Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board held July 20, 1982 Minutes of Regular Meeting of Library Advisory Board held July 27, 1982 Vice Mayor Brown moved that-the recomvendation of the.Nortb. Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board that the two south tennlC courts be dismantled,and the space be dedicated to Country Club parking space anly,be postponed istdefinitely. The motion was seconded by Councilman. Valente and passed 3-1, with President Pro Tem No7.mz opposed. ' Vice Mayor Brounz moved that the recomm~dation of the North Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board that a water distiller for golf cart battery use be purchased for $625 plus $35 for extra parts in place of purchasing distilled water for battery maintenance be rejected. The motion was seconded by President Pro Tem Nolan and passed 3-1, with Councilman Valente opposed. President Pro T~ Nolan moved that we advise the Depa+-~~*+t of Environmental Regulation that we Piave no objections re- garding the application of Soverel Marina for renovations anal construction of two restaurants on said pranises. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Brawn and all present voted aye. Co~mcilman. Valente moved that we approve the expenditure of ' $2,277 from Band Issue, Acwimt No. 63.1-572-63.14 and $1,023 from Accotnt No. 36-572-46.40.for the installation of a 15 HP pump to supply the U. S. ~~1 medians, Lalces%de Park, Village Hall and Library. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Brown and all present voted aye. President Pro T~ Nolan moved that we pay Mr. Lorne Htns- berger the $2,450 he is billing us now -the money to be expended from Account No. 61-519-99.11 (Council Contingency).. The vmtion was seconded by Vice Mayor Brawn and all present voted aye.
