Mayor Marks called the Public Hearing to order at 7:05 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Cotmcil were present.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear the comments of PURPOSE QF
the public concern; a the proposed 1981-82 operating budget PUBLIC HEARIIQG
including Federal Revenue Sharing funds.
There was no legal notice of this Public Hearing published. LEGAL NOTICE
The TRIM (Truth in Millage) bill stipulated that the Palm
Beach County Tax Assessor send out a IQotice of Proposed
' Property Taxes to every owner of real property in the
County. Therefore, it was not necessary for the Village
to publish legal notice of this Public Hearing in the news-
paper. Haaever, it was necessary to publish a legal notice
con~P~;ng the use of Federal Revenue Sharing fLmds in the
proposed 1981-82 operating budget. lYzis notice was published
in The Post on September 13, 1981 and was posted according to
law.
There was a large contingent of residents present at the CQ~'T~NNTS FROM
Public Hearing. Zt~enty-two of these residents addressed THE PUBLIC
the Village Cotmcil concerning the proposed 1981-82 budget.
Their questions were answered by the Village Council, Mr.
C. R. O'Meilia, Acting Village Manager, and Mr. Joe Vick,
Director of Appraisals, Palm Beach Cotmty Property
Appraisers Office.
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNNtENT
the Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
