Marks, M.D., Mayor Al Moore, Vice Mayor Tom Valente, President Pro Tem W. H. Brown, Councilman Harriet Nolan, Councilw~~ Raymond 3. Howland, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Marks called the Special Meeting to order at 7:00 P. M. A1I manbers of the Council were present. The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council as the official General Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of canvassing the vote of March 10, 1981, in accordance with Section 10-25 of the Village Code, The official tabulation of machine votes cast in the General Election of March 10, 1981, are as follows: Village Councilman. Groun 2: William H. Brown 739 votes Margaret Turney 588 votes Village Counci]man; Group 4: V. A. Marks 1,097 votes ROLL CALL PURPOSE OF MEET"JNG TABULATION OF MACHINE VOTES The Council then proceeded to open the absentee ballots which bad been ABSEiV't'EE RATSfYf'S received in the office of the Village Clerk. There were 16 absentee COUN'~ ballots counted, The total for each candidate then read as follows: Village Councilman, Group 2: William H, Brown 745 votes Margaret Turney 598 votes Village Councilman, Group 4: V. A. Marks 1,110 votes On motion of President Pro Tem Valente, seconded by Vice Mayor Moore, RES. N0. 16-81' all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 16-81 entitled: ADOPTID A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COLNCIL OF ATORTH PALM BEACH, ' FLORIDA, DECLARZATG THE RESULTS OF THE [;Fnm'Rar ELECTION HELD ON MARCH Z0, I981, was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. I6-81. The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Councilman Marks OATH OF OFFICE and Councilman. Bran, who bad been re-elected, These oaths are in AT1NiTNTST'FRFII accordance with Article V, Section 2-4I of the Village Code, and sba11 be spread upon the minutes of the Council. There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion ADSOLTRNMQVT of Vice Mayor Moore, seconded by Councilwoman Nolan, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P. M.
