Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Marks called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 p.m. ROLL CALL A11 members of the Cotmcil were present. President Pro Tem Brown gave the invocation and Councilwoman INVOCATION & Nolan led the Gotmcil and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance PLEDGE OF to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE The Minutes of Public Hearing on. proposed usage of Federal APPROVAL OF Revenue Sharing Entitlement Ftmds held Thursday, August 13, MINUTES 1981, and the Minutes of Regular Session held Thursday, August L3, 1981 stand as prepared. The following minutes stand as prepared: ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Regular Meeting of Recreation Advisory Board held July 14, 1981 ' Regular Meeting of Library Advisory Board held July 28, 1931 Regular Meeting of North Palm Beach Country Clvb Advisory Board held August 18, 1981 Councilman Moore moved that we reject the recomsendation of NPBCC AD. BD. the North Palm Beach Country Club Advisory Board that both RECONA~NDATIC rentals and professional contractual salaries remain status REJECTID quo until such time as new contracts are negotiated. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Nolan and all present voted aye. On motion of Vice Mayor Valente, seconded by Cotmcilwroman BILL 384 PLACID Nolan, all present voting aye, Bill No. 384 entitled: ON SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ASSESSING A $1.00 COURT COST AGAINST EVERY PERSON CONVICTED FOR VIOLATION OF A NORTH PALM BEACH MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE, TO BE USID FOR LAW ENFORCE[~NT IDUCATION EXPEDIDITURES FOR THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH LAW ENFORCIIJENT OFFICERS was placed on second reading and read by title alone. ' On motion of Vice Mayor Valente, seconded by Councilman BILL 384 ADOPTID Moore, all present voting aye, Bill No. 384 was adopted AS ORD. 8-81 as Ordinance No. 8-81. On motion of President Pro Tem. Brown, seconded by Council- RES. 48-81 man Moore, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. ADOPTID 48-81 entitled: 1 Minutes of Regular Session Held Thursday, August 27, 1981 Page 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE VIILAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEP'T'ING THE BID OF USS AGRI-CHENILCALS, DAVENPORT, FLORIDA, FOR FAIRWAY FERTILIZEit IN THE AN~UNT OF $3,488.00 FRfJ:~I ACCOUNT N0. 11.1-572-52.23 (FERTILIZERS) was read in fu11 and adopted as read as Resolution No. 48-81. Councilwroman Nolan uroved that we ratify, and authorize the Mayor to sign, the contract between the Palm Beach County Benevolent Association and the Village of North Palm Beach Public Safety Depari-mant. The motion was seconded by Pres- ident Pro Tem Brown and passed 3-2, with Vice Mayor Valente and Councilman. Moore opposed. President Pro Tem Brown moved that we reject all bids on the Delacorte Co~tmity Center, and authorize the revision of the specifications and the rebidding of the building. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Valente and all present voted aye. Councilmen Moore moved that we authorize the purchase of a new ceiling paddle fan for the Library Director's office in the amount of $150.00, to be expended from Account No. 61- 519-99.11 (Council Contingency). The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Nolan and all present voted aye.
