Mayor Marks called the Public Hearing to order at 7:00
p.m. A11 members of the Council were present except
President Pro Tem Valente who arrived at 7:02 p.m.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear the coaments
of the public concerning amendments to the construction
codes.
Legal notice of this Public Hearing was published in the
Palm Beach Post on Septeunber 24, 1980 and October 3, 1980
and posted according to law.
Vice Mayor Moore moved that Council consider all amendments
together. The motion was seconded by Councilwomaia Nolan
and all present voted aye. These amendments are as follows:
A. Amending Chapter 12 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, The Fire Prevention-Code for the Village, by
adopting by reference thereto the Standard Fire
Prevention Code, 1979 Edition, and setting forth
amend~rents to said Standard Fire Prevention Code.
B. Amending Chapter 6 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, The Building Code for the Village, by adopting
by reference thereto the Florida Model Energy Efficiency
Code for Building Construction, May 1980 Edition.
C. Amending Chapter 22 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, the Plumbing Code for the Village, by adopting
by reference thereto the Standard Pluunbing Code, 1979
Edition including Appendix A, D and F thereto, anal
setting forth amendments to said Standard Plumbing Code.
D. Amending Chapter 6 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, the Building Code for the Village, by adopting
by reference thereto the Standard Building Code, 1979
Edition, including Appendices A, B, C, E, F, G and L
thereto and setting forth amendments to said Standard
Building Code.
E. Amending Chapter 13 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, the Gas Code for the Village, by adopting by
reference thereto the Standard Gas Code, 1979 Edition.,
and setting forth amendments to said Standard Gas Code.

G. Au~nding Chapter 45 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code, the Housing Code for the Village, by adopting
by reference thereto, the Standard Housing Code, 1979
Edition.
There were no comments from the public or the Council at
this Public Hearing.
There being no further business to cow before the Council,
on irotion of Vice Mayor Moore, seconded by Councilwoman
Nolan, all present voting aye, the Public Hearing was
adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
