10-30-1980 VC SP-MMINUTES OF SPECIAL SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1980 1 ~I Present: V. A. Marks, M.D., Mayor Al Moore, Vice Mayor Tom Valente, President Pro Tem W. H. Brown, Councilman Harriet Nolan, Councilwoman H. L. Gildan, Village Attorney Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Dolores R. G?alker, Village Clerk Mayor Marks called the Special Session to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of the Council were present. The reason for calling this Special Session this date was because the business at hand could not wait until Council`s Regular Session of November 13, 1980. On motion of President Pro Tem Valente, seconded by Councilman Brown, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 56-80 entitled: A dZESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID OF -- EMERGENCY ONE, INC., W. O. DOWLING FIRE EQUIPMENT, FLORIDA REPRESENTATIVE, FOR ONE CLASS A FIRE TRUCK PUMPER WITH TELESCOPIC 4?ATER TOWER IN THE AMOUNT OF $129,671.00, TO BE EXPENDED FROM THE BOND ISSUE was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 56-80. Councilman Brown moved that we approve the emergency purchase of a cash register, Model 220/12, from Business Machines, Inc. in the amount of $2,040.00 to be expended from ROF Account No. 61.1-581-62.12 (Kitchen Renovations) on the understanding that the budget will be amended to reflect a line item for which the expenditure will be made. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Nolan and passed 4-1, with Councilwoman Nolan opposed. Concerning greens fees at the North Palm Beach Country Club, Councilman Brown moved that we return to the summer rates of $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents until December lst, and from December until May we go to winter fees of $12 for residents and $15 for non-residents. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Moore and all present voted aye.
