�- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING AN ADDITIONAL
$25,000.00 FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in 2010, the Village Council approved a Small Business Grant Program to provide
individual matching grants of up to $5,000.00 (later increased to $7,500.00) for improvements to
small business properties and agreed to appropriate $100,000.00 from the Council Contingency
Account to fund the Program; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution 2011 -39, any unexpended funds from this Program
carried over to subsequent fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, the current available balance in the Program's account is $6,435.00, and the Village
Council wishes to authorize the expenditure of an additional $25,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of an additional $25,000
for the Small Business Grant Program (bringing the total expenditure for Fiscal Year 2016 to
$31,435.00), with funds expended from Account No. A5206 -33125 (Community Development —
Community Planning Small Business Grant).
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
