(/ A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF A BI- DIRECTIONAL AMPLIFIER FOR THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM CITATION COMMUNICATIONS PURSUANT
TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CONTRACT WITH THE
SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PALM BEACH COUNTY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Administration is requesting the purchase of a bi- directional amplifier
(`BDA ") system for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of a BDA system from Citation
Communications pursuant to pricing establishing in an existing contract with the School District
of Palm Beach County; and
WHEREAS, Citation Communications is the sole source provider associated with the North County
Dispatch Center and the MPSCC, and Village Council approval is required because the
aggregate fiscal spending for this vendor will exceed $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the sole source purchase of a bi- directional
amplifier system from Citation Communications at a total cost of $3,744.50 pursuant to
pricing established in an existing contract with the School District of Palm Beach County
(Contract No. 13C -19S), with funds expended from Account No. A5711 -34660 (Police — Repair
and Maintenance of PA and Communications Systems).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
