Mayor Brown called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 ROLL CALL
p.m. All members of the Council were present.
Vice Mayor Kazimir gave the invocation and Councilman Moore INVOCATION &
led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance PLEDGE OF
to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE

Councilman Marks moved that we place on tonight's regular NON AGENDA
session agenda as Item 12 (b) under Miscellaneous Business ITEM PLACED
the repurchase of the 1949 Ford fire truck which was traded ON AGENDA
in earlier this year. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor
Kazimir and all present voted aye.
Councilman Marks moved that we add an item on tonight's NON AGENDA
regular session agenda as Item 12 (c)-under Miscellaneous ITEM PLACED
Business concerning discussion of the purchase of Sea- ON AGENDA
coast Utilities by the Village of North Palm Beach. The
motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Kazimir-and all present
voted aye.
On motion of Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilwoman BILL 330
Love, all present voting aye, Bill No. 330 entitled: PLACED ON

PALM BEACH CODE, BY PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PRIVATE THERAPEUTIC.SWII~9MING POOLS
AND AMENDING CERTAIN EXISTING REGULATIONS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF SWIMMING POOLS IN THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH
was placed on second reading and read by title alone.

On motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Councilwoman BILL 330
Love, all present voting aye, Bill No. 330 was adopted ADOPTED AS
as Ordinance No. 16-79. ORD. 16-79
Vice Mayor Kazimir moved that we reject the current bids BIDS FOR
on the handball courts at Osborne Park and allow the HANDBALL
' Village staff to contract for the work ourselves. The COURTS AT
motion was seconded by Councilwoman Love and passed OSBORNE PARK
4-l, with Councilman Moore opposed. REJECTED
Councilman Marks moved that we ask the Recreation Ad- REQUEST OF
visory Board to reconsider the demolition of the two REC. AD. BD.
courts that presently exist at Osborne Park and add two RE HANDBALL
additional courts with the money available. The motion COURTS AT
was seconded by Councilwoman Love and passed 4-1, with OSBORNE PARK
Councilman Moore opposed.
Councilman Marks moved that we buy back for $1,000.00 FIRE TRUCK
the fire truck and turn it over to the volunteers to TO BE RE-
put it in condition. The motion was seconded by Vice PURCHASED
Mayor Kazimir and all present voted aye.
Councilman Marks moved that we calla special one item SPECIAL MEET-
agenda meeting for next Thursday, July 19, 1979 at 7:30 ING CALLED
p.m, for the Village to explore the options available RE SEACOAST
to it to acquire Seacoast Utilities Company in view of UTILITIES
the existing facts involving the Village, Palm Beach
Gardens and Lake Park, and to take whatever action
is deemed appropriate after that exploration. The
motion was seconded by Councilman Moore and all present
' voted aye.
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
