02-08-1979 VC PH-MMINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, FEBRUARY S, 1979 i ~--~ Present: Al Moore, Mayor Donald J. Kazimir, Vice Mayor W. H. Brown, President Pro Tem V. A. Marks, Councilman Patsy B. Love, Councilwoman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Paul J_ Nicoletti, Village Manager Dolores R._Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Moore called the Public Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of the Council were present except Councilman Marks who arrived at 7:05 p.m. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear the public concerning the possible suspension or revocation of the occupational license of Mr. Marvin Berman, owner of JamieTS Pizza, d/b/a The Stage restaurant, 549 Northlake Boulevard, North Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Berman was not present at this Public Hearing. Notice of the hearing was sent to him by certified mail (letter dated January 29, 1979) and the same letter was hand delivered to him personally by Patrolman Steve Carpenter on February 2, 1979 between the hours of 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. at his home located at 4447 Flax Court, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Councilman Brown moved that we suspend the occupational license of Jamie's Pizza, d/b/a The Stage restaurant, until Mr. Marvin Berman, the owner, receives a permit from the County Health Department. The motion was seconded by Councilman Marks. Mr. Harry Gray and Mr. Richard Schneider of the Palm Beach County Health Department were present. Mr. Gray presented the facts and conclusions of the Health De- partment as to how a public nuisance was occurring and also a violation of health and sanitary laws. A number of photographic exhibits were shown to the Village Council. Councilman Marks moved to amend the motion as follows: That we revoke the occupational license of Jamie's Pizza, d/b/a/ The Stage restaurant, rather than suspending it. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brown and all present voted aye. Therefore, the occupational license has been revoked until Mr. Berman, the owner of this establishment, receives a permit from the County Health Department. ' There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Councilwoman Love, all present voting aye, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 7.25 p.m. ~~-° Minutes recorded by: Dolores R.
