\ A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A
DELL DL 4300 BACKUP AND RECOVERY APPLIANCE PURSUANT TO
AN EXISTING STATE OF FLORIDA CONTRACT FOR COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT, PERIPHERALS AND SERVICES; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $12,903.00 FROM THE
CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY —
COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE CAPITAL ACCOUNT; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the IT Department is seeking the purchase of new backup and recovery hardware to
replace the current, antiquated data backup solution; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the purchase of a Dell DL 4300 Backup
and Recovery Appliance pursuant to an existing State of Florida Purchasing Contract for
Computer Equipment, Peripherals and Services (Contract No. 43211500- WSCA -I5 -ACS); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $12,903.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Information Technology —
Computer Hardware and Software Capital Account to fund the purchase of this equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of a Dell DL4300 Backup and
Recovery Appliance and related equipment and services from Dell Computers pursuant to an
existing State of Florida Contract for Computer Equipment, Peripherals and Services
(Contract No. 43211500 - WSCA -I5 -ACS), at a total cost of $12,902.46, with funds expended
from Account No. K5004 -66415 (IT — Computer Hardware and Software).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:
