Mayor Love called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 ROLL CALL
p.m. A11 members of the Council were present.
Mayor Love gave the invocation and Councilman Brown led INVOCATION &
the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance PLEDGE OF
to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Love read and signed Proclamation on "Jaycee PROCLAMATION -
Week" - January 15-21, 1978. JAYCEE WEEK
On motion of Vice Mayor Marks, seconded by Councilman ACCEPTANCE OF
Kazimir, all present voting aye, the following minutes MINUTES
were accepted by the Council:

Board Meeting held December 20, 1977
Vice Mayor Marks moved that we accept the recommendation REC. AD. BD.
of the Recreation Advisory Board to prevent further RECOMMENDATION
erosion at Lakeside Park. The motion was seconded by ACCEPTED
Councilman Kazimir and all present voted aye.
Concerning the recommendation of the Recreation Advisory REC. AD. BD.
Board that Council seek an architect to design a semi- RECOMMENDATION
permanent building for Anchorage Park, Vice Mayor Marks AMENDED
moved that we investigate the feasibility of building
a semi-permanent building at Anchorage Park. The
motion was seconded by Councilman Kazimir and all present
voted aye.
Councilman Kazimir moved that Bill No. 287 entitled: MOTION TO PLACE
BILL 287 ON
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, 1ST READING
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE ZONING CODE, BY CREATING
A NEW ZONING CLASSIFICATION TO BE KNOWN AS CB COM-
MERCIAL DISTRICT AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK
TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE
be placed on first reading and read by title alone.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Brown.
Councilman Brown moved to amend Bill No. 287 as follows: B1LL 287
AMENDED
D. Building Height Regulations. No building _ _
or structure shall exceed two (2) stories or
twenty-five (25) feet. Elevator towers and mech-
anical apparatus are not restricted to the twenty-
five (25) foot limit.

The motion was seconded by Councilman Kazimir and all
present voted aye.
Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which passed MAIN MOTION
unanimously. PASSED 5-0
On motion of Councilman Brown; seconded by Vice Mayor BILL 288
Marks, all present voting aye, Bill No. 288 entitled: PLACED _ON

ZONING DISTRICE R-2 TO ZONING DISTRICT R-1; BY REZONING
THE AREA ON THE WEST SIDE OF U. S. #1 FROM SOUTH AN-
CHORAGE DRIVE TO EBBTIDE DRIVE FROM ZONING DISTRICT

NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY ADDING THERETO SECTION
34-12 (6) SETTING FORTH RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
SIGNS IN THE CB COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
was placed on first reading and read by title alone.
Vice Mayor Marks moved that proposed Resolution No. MOTION TO
1-78 entitled; ADOPT RES. 1-
78 FAILED 5-0
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID OF FEDERAL
FENCE COMPANY, FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA FOR FENCING
MATERIAL IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,263.94 FROM ACCOUNT
NO. 1-904
be adopted. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Kazimir and failed 5-0 with each member of the
Council opposed.
Councilman Kazimir moved that the fencing for Osborne - FENCING FOR
Park be placed on Council's workshop session of January OSBORNE PARK
26, 1978. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brown TO BE PLACED
and passed unanimously. ON 1/26/78

There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Brown, seconded by ADJOURNMENT
Vice Mayor Marks, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
