04-13-1978 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 13, 1978. Present: Al Moore, Mayor Donald J. Kazimir, Vice Mayor W. H. Brown, President Pro Tem V. A. Marks, Councilman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Paul J. Nicoletti, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Absent: Patsy B. Love, Councilwoman Mayor Moore called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 ROLL CALL p.m. A11 members of the Council were present except Councilwoman Love who was hospitalized. Vice Mayor Kazimir gave the invocation and Councilman INVOCATION & Brown led the Council and the public in the Pledge of PLEDGE OF Allegiance to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE On motion of Councilman Brown, seconded by Vice Mayor APPROVAL OF Kazimir, all present voting aye, the Minutes of Regular MINUTES Session held Thursday, March 23, 1978 were approved as written. Mayor Moore read and signed Proclamations on "Private PROCLAMATIONS Property Week" - April 16-22, 1978, and "Healthy Baby READ & SIGNED Week" - May 8-14, 1978. BY MAYOR Mayor Moore, on behalf of the Village, presented Cer- tificates of Appreciation to all Village volunteers CERTIFICATES OF APPRECIATION who were present to receive them. On motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Councilman BILL 295 Brown, all present voting aye, Bill No. 295 entitled: PLACED ON FIRST READING AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF ' NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY REZONING LOTS 11, 12, 13 AND 14, BLOCK 37, VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH PLAT N0. 3, FROM ZONING DISTRICT C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL, TO ZONING DISTRICT R-3, APARTMENT DWELLING DISTRICT was placed on first reading and read by title alone. ~ Minutes of Regular Session' Held Thursday, April 13, 1978 Page 2 On motion of Vice Mayor Kazimir, seconded by Councilman Marks, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 14-78 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE. VILLAGE MANAGER ' TO APPLY TO THE PALM BEACH COUNTY CITY RECREATIONAL FUNDING PROGRAM, FISCAL YEAR 1977/78, FOR MATCHING FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 'BUILDING MODULES AT ANCHORAGE PARK IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 14-78. On motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Vice Mayor Kazimir, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 15-78 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE PALM BEACH COUNTY CITY RECREATIONAL FUNDING PROGRAM, FISCAL YEAR 1977/78, FOR MATCHING FUNDS TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO LIGHTED RACQUET BALL/HANDBALL COURTS AT OSBORNE PARK IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 15-78. RES. 14-78 ADOPTED RES. 15-78 ADOPTED ' On motion of Councilman Brown, seconded by Vice Mayor .RES. 16-78 Kazimir, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution ADOPTED No. 16-78 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO ACQUIRE PEANUT ISLAND, AN ENVIRONMENTALLY ENDANGERED LAND, AS A STATE PARK was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 16-78.
