VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1976

Vice Mayor McIntyre called the Special Meeting to order at ROLL. CALL
7:07 p.m. All members of the Council were present except
Councilman Love who arrived at 7:10 p.m.
The purpose o£ this meeting is to constitute the Council PURPOSE OF
as the official Special Election Canvassing Board for MEETING
the purpose of canvassing the vote of September 7, 1976
under the provisions of Section 12-57 of the Village Code.
The Council inspected and accepted the Statement of INSPECTION
Canvass for the Special Election of September 7,-1976 OF ST~1-TEMENTS
for the following precincts: OF CANVASS
Precinct 34 Precinct 50
Precinct 48 Precinct 52
Precinct 49 Precinct 53
' The official tabulation of machine votes cast in the TAB OF MACHINE
Special Election of September 7 are as follows: VOTES
Village Councilman, Group 5:
Betty French 838 Votes
Don Kazimir 934 Votes
Following the tabulation of machine votes, the Council ABSENTEE
proceeded to open the absentee ballots which had been BALLOTS
received in the office of the Village Clerk. The total COUNTED
for each candidate then read as follows:
Village Councilman, Group 5:
Betty French 847 Votes
Don Kazimir 948 Votes
On motion o£ Councilman Marks, seconded by Councilman ACCEPTANCE OF
Moore, all present voting aye, Council accepted the ABSENTEE
absentee ballots as counted. BALLOTS
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman RES. 65=76
' Love, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. ADOPTED
66-76 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON SEPTEMBER 7, 1976
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution
No. 66-76.

The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office
to newly elected Councilman Don Kazimir. This
oath shall be spread upon the minutes of the
Council.
After Don Kazimir took his Oath of Office he became
an official member of the Village Council.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
on motion of Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman
Love, all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned
at 7:20 p.m.
